JRS Express, with 450 branches nationwide, has been accredited by the Supreme Court (SC) as its courier service for its orders, resolutions, and decisions, and pleadings and other court-required documents from litigants.

The accreditation was contained in an administrative circular issued to JRS Express, a 100 percent Filipino-owned business which has been in operation for 62 years.
With JRS Express’ accreditation, the SC expects the delivery of documents in a fast and trustworthy manner.
“Our primary purpose is to connect people and products with utmost efficiency and affordability,” John Paul Claparols, administrative officer of JRS Business Corporation, said in a press statement.
To avail themselves of the courier service, litigants and the public “may use JRS Express’ available pouches or boxes and present them to a JRS Express branch.”
It said that “senders may also call the nearest branch and request Free Pick Up.”
It pointed out that the “mailing date will also serve as the date of filing” of any pleading or submission of court-required documents.
JRS also said: “To identify the ‘date of service,’ the sender would need to execute an Affidavit of Service, together with the official receipt or document tracking number. Complete documents must be submitted if the chosen mode of delivery is Free Pick Up.”
“For faster transactions, it is recommended that senders should not seal envelopes before the rider arrives since JRS riders will bring a ‘proof of receipt’ that should be included with the contents of said envelope,” it said.
It added that “the sender themself will seal the envelope with the rider as a witness; the designated rider will be the one to seal the JRS Express pouch or box in front of the sender.”
It also said that more information on the sending of documents through JRS Express may be obtained from its website -- www.jrs-express.com.
