Maynilad to implement water service interruption in 4 cities in southern Metro Manila


The Maynilad Water Service Inc. announced the implementation of water service interruptions in four southern Metro Manila cities starting Friday, Feb. 17 until Feb. 20.

According to the Maynilad announcement, the water service interruption is due to the prolonged high turbidity brought by "amihan" winds.

The Maynilad said water service interruption will be implemented from 5:00 a.m. to 12:01 a.m. daily on Feb.17 until Feb. 21 in Barangay Almanza Dos in Las Piñas City and Barangays Poblacion and Tunasan in Muntinlupa City.

Barangays Alabang, Buli, Cupang and Sucat in Muntinlupa will have no water from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. on Feb. 17-21.

Some parts in Barangays Alabang, Bayanan, Poblacion, Putatan and Tunasan will have no water supply 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. daily on Feb. 17-21.

Eleven barangays in Las Piñas City will be affected by the water service interruption from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily on Feb. 17-21.

The affected villages are Barangays CAA, Manuyo Dos, Pamplona Uno, Pamplona Dos, Pamplona Tres, Pulanglupa Uno, Pulanglupa Dos, Talon Uno, Talon Dos, Talon Tres, and Zapote.

Water service interruptions in Barangays Almanza Uno, Pilar, Talon Dos, and Talon Singko in Las Piñas City will be experienced from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. daily.

In Parañaque City, Barangays BF Homes, Don Bosco, Marcelo Green, San Antonio, and San Martin de Porres will have no water supply from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Water service interruption will be implemented from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily in Barangays Mervile, and Moonwalk, Parañaque City, and Barangay 201 in Pasay City.

Water service interruption in Barangays Don Bosco, Marcelo Green, San Antonio and San Isidro Parañaque City will be implemented from 2:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. daily and Barangays 181 to 185 in Pasay City.

The Maynilad encourages customers affected by water service interruption to store enough water when supply is available for their consumption.

They also advised customers to let the water flow out briefly until it clears upon the resumption of water service.

Mobile tankers of Maynilad will do the rounds in the affected areas to deliver potable water while stationary water tanks will be installed in several areas.
