Fire razes houses in Muntinlupa

An early morning fire hit a residential area in Barangay Poblacion, Muntinlupa on Friday, Feb. 17.

According to the Muntinlupa City Fire Station, the fire razed houses at No. 209 Bukal Street at about 6:01 a.m.

The Muntinlupa Department of Disaster Resilience and Management posted that time of call about the incident was at 5:52 a.m.

About 20 houses and 30 families were affected by the fire. Authorities estimated that the blaze damaged P250,000 worth of properties.

No one was injured in the fire which originated from the kitchen area of a house. The cause is under investigation.

The fire was put under control at 6:48 a.m. and was put out at 7:01 a.m.

A total of 16 fire trucks and three ambulances responded to the incident.
