PopBox officially launched at LRT-1

Commuters can now use Light Rail Transit (LRT) -1 stations as a pick-up point for their packages, after Thursday, February 16's launch of PopBox, the country's first smart locker system in a public transport.

The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), the railway's private operator, and the Airspeed Group of Companies have officially launched PopBox at all LRT-1 stations for a "truly world class" customer experience.

LRMC Airspeed officially launch PopBox

PopBox, the first courier agnostic solution for smart lockers, has been operating for over five years in 350 locations across Indonesia and Malaysia.

Today, Filipino passengers can enjoy more efficient and convenient contactless delivery service for those who want to use LRT-1 stations as pick-up points for packages purchased via partner e-commerce platforms or for delivery orders through partner couriers.

Initial e-commerce partners include gifting platform https://speedgifts.ph/ and the newest Filipino online platform KHPH (Kahanga-hanga Pilipinas) https://kh-ph.com/.

Both are part of the Airspeed Group, which powers PopBox and serves as official logistics partner, offering the new fulfillment option to clients, such as e-commerce platforms, small and medium enterprises.

Airspeed is a corporate logistics fim handling Freight Forwarding Solutions, Customs Releasing, Customized Logistics, Warehousing and Distribution, and Dedicated Demand.

Soon, LRMC expects more partners to sign up and include LRT-1 PopBox lockers as a collection point.

Easy consumer package returns will be part of the next stages of the partnership.
