CANDELARIA, Quezon -- Four suspected street drug pushers were arrested in two separate police buy-bust operations on Tuesday dawn, Feb. 14, here.
The arrested drug pushers yielded some P100,000 worth of the illegal drugs, according to the police.
Candelaria police chief Lt. Col. Dennis De Leon identified the suspects as Renato Genove Jr., 40, Raben Tuvilla, 47, Benjamin Estrella, 50. All are residents of Bansalagin St., Barangay Pahinga Norte, while the only other suspect was identified as Glemerson Espiritu, 41, a resident of Barangay Concepcion 1.
De Leon said that the group of Genove was arrested in Barangay Pahinga Norte by the operatives of Candelaria Drug Enforcement Unit during a buy-bust.
The group, the police said, yielded about 4.2 grams of shabu worth P85,680.
Five hours later, Espiritu was arrested by the other team of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) at around 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 14 at Easter Mansion Subd, Brgy. Malabanban Norte.
Espiritu yielded 1.7 grams of shabu with a street value of P34,680.00, de Leon said.
All the suspects are now facing criminal complaints for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Article II of R.A 9165.
