F2 Logistics bucked a slow start to outplay Akari in a tight straight-set victory, 25-22, 25-23, 25-18, in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference Saturday night, Feb. 11, at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
The Cargo Movers, who were coming off a five-set victory against the PLDT High Speed Hitters last Feb. 7, managed to their endgame poise to complete the sweep against the winless Chargers.
Kianna Dy pounced on a second straight 17-point outing to spearhead F2 Logistics to an early 2-0 record at the helm with Creamline and Chery Tiggo.
The Cargo Movers asserted their dominance with the biggest lead of the match at 19-10 in the third set before the Chargers briefly showed signs of light with a 6-0.
But Dy was quick to step up with back-to-back hits, followed by Jess Ramos' two consecutive aces as F2 Logistics pulled away, 23-16.
Janine Marciano came through with a crosscourt kill as a last-ditch effort to keep the Chargers alive before an attack error from Cha Cruz-Behag trimmed their deficit to 23-18.
But Dy's consistent showing put F2 Logistics at match point with a down-the-line kill before leaning on Eli Soyud's error to seal the Cargo Movers' victory.
Dindin Santiago-Manabat was the lone bright spot for the Chargers with 16 points.
