In a statement, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said it has completed the training center which it began constructing in 2019.
DPWH National Capital Region (NCR) Director Loreta M. Malaluan noted that the new UP Varsity Training Center has a basketball court and a gymnasium with equipment, as well as dedicated spaces for team practices and meetings constructed in a floor area of 1879.42 square meters.
“This is a state-of-the-art, research-intensive facility offering a wide range of resources to help UP student athletes reach their full potential,” Malaluan said.
The DPWH Quezon City Second District Engineering Office (DEO) headed by District Engineer Ramon Devanadera implemented the facility in three phases that started in 2019. (Chito A. Chavez)
