Actor Joaqiuin Domagoso has admitted that he was hurt when people shared stuff to discredit his father former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno who ran for president in 2022.

Joaquin made the revelation during an appearance on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" on GMA Network on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Asked if he was hurt when he did not get an overwhelming support from the showbiz industry for his father, Joaquin answered: "Hindi naman sa nasasaktan ako pero yung mismong friends ko sa showbiz, yun ang hindi ko ma gets eh because they know me and they know my dad. I've talked about my life with them.

"If you don't support my dad gets ko rin pero when you share stuff discrediting my dad, sobrang sakit nun sa akin kasi you know me when I talk to you eh.

"I'm so friendly and I tell you all the nicest things. I don't hate anybody about it wala akong pakialam kung binoto mo ito or ito ang support mo. When I see I'm the same JD. I'm your best friend pa rin. Masakit lang sa akin. Masakit lang po," he said.

On what he learned during the national elections, Joaquin said: "Ang natutunan ko po sa election is everybody has an opinion and you just have to respect it kasi sa dulo na lang magaaway pa kayo eh.

"Everybody just ended up fighting. Yun ang masakit. Yung lahat kayo nagaaway for people that you don't know. Yun ang masakit. I'm happy that it's done and everyone's breathing again," he added.

Isko, 48, finished fourth out of 10 candidates during the 2022 presidential election. He also announced his retirement from politics when his term ended on June 30, 2022.

Joaquin, 21, also said that he's not ready to join politics despite calls from some groups to follow the career path of his father.

"A lot of people would tell me even I say no now. No din yung papa ko before. Magno-no din ako now kasi kailangan nyo po na nakapag-aral ka na at decided ka na na ito ang gagawin mo kasi when you're there and running in politics, you really have to do your job. I don't wanna go to politics dahil sikat yung papa ko at alam ko pasok ako dun dahil may pangalan sya. Mag-aaral po muna ako ng politics. I'm gonna study first," the award-winning actor also said.
