60-year-old PWD wins Honda CR-V at RCBC's digital promo

Davao del Sur-based Ana Julie Prado Flores was speechless when her daughter, Novelle Aia Barriga, read a text on her behalf announcing that she was the winner of a 2022 Honda CR-V from the Go Digital and Drive promo launched by the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC).

“I am speechless. I’m very thankful to RCBC for giving me this opportunity to win something big like this. For my fellow RCBC cardholders, don’t lose hope and time will come that an opportunity like this will also come your way,” Flores said in an interview.

60-year old wheelchair-dependent Flores has three children and five grandchildren. Among her children, Barriga is the one assisting her mother when doing errands which includes transacting in the bank.

She opened an account at the RCBC Davao branch last year to receive funds from one of her children who currently works abroad.

“Signing up for RCBC Digital has made banking really so convenient for us, especially for my mother who is a senior citizen. Davao City is quite far from us, almost an hour away, so we don’t have to travel every time to transact. It’s where our brother sends the money to support our mother,” Barriga said.

Aside from the convenience of online banking, Barriga revealed that it was easier to obtain a car loan from the Yuchengco-led bank with straightforward processes and better rates.

Upon enrolling their account to RCBC Digital, new RCBC account holders were automatically enrolled in RCBC's Go Digital & Drive Promo and earned five raffle entries.

The recently concluded raffle promo has awarded a total 21 winners who received either the grand prize, a 2022 Honda CRV,  or P200,000 worth of cash prizes.

Barriga said they have already received the Honda CR-V, which will be a huge help for their family as they take care of their mother and run errands for her.

Meanwhile, RCBC Chief Marketing Officer Ces Natividad said the Go Digital and Drive promo encouraged clients who may still be undecided to go digital despite the convenience it brings.
