Milo Marathon set to return after 3 years

By NIKOLE JAVIER

The Milo National Marathon is set to return for its 44th edition as online registration officially kicked off on Feb. 3.

After three years of inactivity due to the pandemic’s restrictions, the longest-running marathon in the country will be coming back on Mar. 26 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds as part of Milo’s ACTIVE PILIPINAS “couch-to-court” campaign.

“‘Excited’ doesn’t even begin to cover how it feels to be able to bring back this much-loved running event to our fellow Filipinos, especially since there will be more runners at the starting line. When the race was announced, we saw and felt the shared excitement of the country, so we look forward to once again energizing the nation on March 26. We are excited to see everyone again at the starting line, where our Champions Coach Rio de la Cruz and First Olympic Marathon Champion Mary Joy Tabal had their early marathon experiences before becoming the champions they are today,” said MILO® Sports Head Carlo Sampan.

Early Bird discount will be available for participants who will sign up on the first week of the online registration from Feb. 3 to 15.

Similarly in the past, the race categories range from 3K to a full marathon of 42K in the brand’s efforts to bring back a more active lifestyle for Filipinos through sports programs and events.

Two weeks ago, Milo launched the campaign with five major programs lined up throughout the year including the much-anticipated marathon.
