TACLOBAN CITY - Over P9 million worth of suspected illegal drugs were seized in a buy-bust operation Monday night (Feb. 6) in Brgy. Tagnipa, Maasin City, Southern Leyte.
Facing charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11 (possession and sale) of Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022 is Silbo Tombiga, 46, and a resident of Brgy. Sua-angon, St. Bernard town, also in Southern Leyte.
Tombiga is tagged as a high-value individual.
Based on reports, the operating units were able to purchase a medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu worth P30,000 from the suspect.
During the body search and inventory, the raiders discovered 26 more sachets of shabu inside in a green pouch wrapped in tin foil.
Also found from the suspect were cash and other non-drug evidence which were placed under police custody for proper disposition.
