Muntinlupa recognized by DILG-NCR for anti-drug abuse programs 


The Muntinlupa City government was recognized during the recent 2022 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit Awards held by the Department of the Interior and Local Government-National Capital Region (DILG-NCR).

Vice Mayor Artemio Simundac presented to Mayor Ruffy Biazon the certificate of recognition given by DILG-NCR to the Muntinlupa City government for achieving “high function score of 85 points in the 2021 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Unit.”

Aside from the certificate, Muntinlupa also received a check amounting P7 million as Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Incentive Fund Subsidy.

Besides Simundac, those who attended the awarding ceremony were Muntinlupa Drug Abuse Prevention & Control Office (DAPCO) head Col. Florocito Ragudo and JC Fadrilan, who represented DILG-Muntinlupa Director Gloria Aguhar.

Leading the awarding ceremony were DILG Secretary Benjamin Abalos, Jr. and DILG-NCR Regional Director Ma. Lourdes Austin.

“To all my colleagues in the Muntinlupa Anti-Drug Abuse Council, Muntinlupa City Peace and Order Council and those in the Muntinlupa City government, congratulations for the continued implementation of programs for the security in our city as well as guiding every Muntinlupeño against illegal drugs,” said Simundac.

DILG Undersecretary for Local Government Marlo Iringan expressed his gratitude to the 17 NCR LGUs for their support to efforts in eradicating illicit drugs.

“We salute you and commend your exceptional contributions to the overall national campaign by building stronger institutions, rendering assistance to our law enforcement agencies, and advancing these advocacies down to the level of our communities. Indeed, you are all our true heroes in this fight because your efforts do not only make a real difference in the lives of many core people, but also complement us in the national government,” he said.
