Three persons, including kid, found dead in Negros town

BACOLOD CITY – Three persons, including a child, were found dead at Sitio Buyong, Barangay Cabia-an, Candoni, Negros Occidental on Saturday, Feb. 4.

The victims were identified as Analie Emaray, 44, of Barangay Cabia-an, and Edmund Castro, 45, and his nine-year-old son, both residents of Barangay Haba.

Emaray bore a gunshot wound in the eyebrow, while Castro had multiple gunshot wounds, and his son suffered hacked wounds in the head and neck, according to the police.

Candoni police chief Major Ruel Culanag said they are looking into a land dispute as a possible motive in the incident.

He, however, did not elaborate further while the investigation is ongoing.

Culanag said they already have two persons of interest in the incident.

Police are urging witnesses to surface to help them determine what really happened.
