
The country logged 128 more Covid-19 infections on Saturday, Feb. 4, the Department of Health (DOH) reported.
Active cases or patients still receiving treatment or under isolation were at 9,520, the latest data of DOH showed.
Metro Manila remained as the region with the highest number of infections with 658 cases in the last 14 days.
Calabarzon then followed with 303 cases, Davao Region with 195, Western Visayas with 179, and Central Luzon with 151.
The new cases pushed the cumulative tally of confirmed cases to 4,073,739.
Of the total cases, the DOH said that 3,998,380 patients were able to defeat the viral illness. However, Covid-19 claimed the lives of 65,839 patients.
The DOH still emphasized the importance of vaccines. "Vaccines remain to be our best-defense against Covid-19," it said.
"So get the jab done and get your boosters done to further strengthen our wall of immunity," the DOH said.
