Korean actor Lee Do-hyun, star of the dramas “The Glory” and “Youth of May,” will be enlisting in the military this year.
The 27-year-old star, who is turning 28 in April (based on international age computation), will be enlisting in the first half of the year, according to an exclusive report by Korean media outlet JTBC.
Military service is a mandatory duty for all Korean men, who must enlist by age 28. South Korea has different methods in age computation.
The report stated that Lee Do-hyun will enlist after finishing the filming of all his projects scheduled this year. All filming is scheduled to be completed in March.
Regarding the report, his agency, Yuehua Entertainment, told Korean media, "The date of actor Lee Do-hyun's enlistment has not yet been set. As it is a natural duty, we will inform you as soon as it is confirmed."
Recently, Korean actor Nam Joo-hyuk was confirmed to enlist in the military in March. The actor will be starting his military service on March 20 and will serve in the military police riot squad, according to his agency.
