Manila gov't advises public on 'GO! Manila' app downtime

The Manila city government announced on Thursday, Feb. 2, that the city’s mobile application, GO! Manila, is temporarily down due to system maintenance and upgrade.

"The GO! Manila app is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for any convenience," the local government said in a Facebook post.

It added that users may proceed to the app's website www.gomanila.com to conduct transactions with the city government.

The GO! Manila app is an e-commerce platform for online application, services and transactions in the local government.

The application was launched in 2014 and was initially used only for real-time traffic updates in the city.

Other government transactions available in the app include processing of civil documents and occupational health forms, and application for tax certificates.
