TXT's 'Temptation' sells 2 million copies, tops monthly album chart for January

K-pop group Tomorrow X Together (TXT) reached another milestone with their new mini-album “The Name Chapter: Temptation.”

TXT released their fifth mini-album on Jan. 27 and in six days, they reached two million copies in sales.

According to Korea’s Hanteo Chart, “The Name Chapter: Temptation” sold a total of 2,027,817 from Jan. 27 to Feb. 1.

TXT’s new album garnered 1,868,919 copies in sales on the first day of release on Jan. 27 followed by 28,810 the following day; 25,756 on the third day; 12,838 on the fourth day, 46,761 on the fifth day; and 44,733 copies on Feb. 1.

“The Name Chapter: Temptation” also grabbed the No. 1 spot on Hanteo’s weekly and monthly physical album charts.

For the month of January 2023, “The Name Chapter: Temptation” is on top with 1,983,084 copies sold, or equivalent to 1,977,120 physical record index points, which are used by Hanteo Chart to rank albums by using a formula to blend the number of copies sold and the price of an album.

On the weekly physical album chart from Jan. 23 to 29, TXT’s album is No. 1 with 1,923,485 copies sold or 1,016,973 physical record index points.

Here are the top 20 on Hanteo Chart’s monthly physical album chart for January 2023 ranked based on the physical index record points:
