Lakas-CMD is the 'ruling party' in House, Dalipe declares

The Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) is the "ruling party" in the House of Representatives.

Majority Leader and Zambonga City 2nd district Rep. Mannix Dalipe made this declaration Tuesday, Jan. 31 via Facebook post.

The post was made at the heels of a Lakas-CMD event in the House wherein Speaker Martin Romualdez met with the 67 party stalwarts there and outlined their legislative agenda for 2023.

"Lakas-CMD has 67 Congressmen making it the 'The Ruling Party' in the House of Representatives in the 19th Congress," read Dalipe's post.

Romualdez, Leyte's 1st district representative, is the president of the party.

The party has since welcomed its 68th member in the House in La Union 1st district Rep. Paolo Ortega.
