The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) signed an agreement with the city government of Legazpi to enable the construction of new PCG facilities in Albay.
Commander Jeffrey Collado, commander of PCG Station Albay, and Legazpi City Mayor Carmen Geraldine Rosal signed a deed of usufruct agreement on Monday, Jan. 30, to formalize the PCG’s utilization of a 417-square meter lot where a new Coast Guard barracks and equipment storage are set to be built.
“There will also be a facility to enhance the efficiency and productivity of Coast Guard personnel in attending to the concerns of its maritime stakeholders in Legazpi City,” Collado said.
The lot is located at Don M.L. de Legazpi Boulevard in Brgy. Dap-Dap, Legazpi City.
The PCG said that the term of the usufruct will last for 25 years starting from the date of the execution. It will then be renewable for another 25 years “subject to terms and conditions agreeable to both parties.”
