Dina Bonnevie on Alex Gonzaga: 'Hindi totoo na pinagsisigawan ko siya'

Dina Bonnevie has come out to reveal that she did reprimand Alex Gonzaga for coming in late not once, not twice, but many, many times, on the set of their now defunct TV5 series "PS I Love You."

In an episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" that aired Tuesday, Dina shared how she confronted Alex about it as "nobody had the strength or the audacity to come up to her and talk to her."

“There were other co-workers getting irked about, ‘yung working habits niya…Gabby (Concepion), Cheska Iñigo, si Nadine Lustre, we were all together and nobody had the strength or the audacity to come up to her and talk to her. So, okay ako ang magiging spokesperson."

"Sabi ko, hindi pa ipinapanganak ang babastos sa akin, Alex. Please kinakausap kita nang maayos. If you wanna stay long in this business, you cannot last na ganyan ang attitude mo. Palagi kang late, dito ka pa maliligo sa set, you cannot even memorize your lines, hindi ka makaiyak..."

Despite doing so, she made clear to Toni Gonzaga's younger sister, "I’m not talking to you like this because I want to put you down. I want you to succeed in your career, I want you to be great."

"Hindi totoo na pinagsisigawan ko siya mula ulo hanggang paa kase ‘yung setting namin nasa simbahan,” she reiterated.

"Ang ending nag-iyakan kami and then okay na. Naiyak na rin ako because I had to spill my heart out,” Dina added.

As to the whole episode gaining traction in recent months following an interview where she mentioned the same, Dina maintained she opened up about it simply because she was asked.

Note that Alex also issued her own statement relating the issue, describing how a "matandang artista painted her as a bad guy."

Was she offended by the description?

Dina retorted, “Hindi ako na-offend."

"It’s true, matanda na ako. I’m 61. But I’d like to see people at 61 if they’re still looking fresh. Sorry, but I feel fresh."

But she admitted, "Nagulat ako dun sa ‘matandang artista’, ‘I was painted as the bad guy.’ For me, dun ako nainis. Painting you as the bad guy is inventing stories to make you look bad. I wasn’t inventing stories."

So is she mad at Alex?

"That’s past. It’s changed. Nagbago naman siya bago natapos ang taping. Hindi ako galit sa kanya.”
