Navotas City Hospital temporarily halts birth, operation services


The Navotas City Hospital (NCH) announced on Saturday, Jan. 28, that it will temporarily halt its birth and operation services starting Monday, Jan. 30.

“Tuloy-tuloy po ang pag-aayos natin ng mga pasilidad para mas mapataas ang kalidad ng serbisyo sa mga Navoteño. Kaugnay nito, pansamantalang isasara ang ating Paanakan at Operasyon simula Enero 30, 2023 (We are continuously repairing the facilities to increase the quality of service to Navoteños. In this regard, our Birth and Operations will be temporarily closed starting January 30, 2023),” NCH declared in a Facebook post.

According to Dr. Spica Mendoza-Acoba, NCH director, the operating and delivery rooms are undergoing renovation.

She stated that the hospital management decided to close the said rooms until the renovation has been completed as the rooms require to be sterile all the time.

NCH said that pregnant women who were scheduled to give birth in NCH, will be referred to Tanza Lying In Center at Sampaguita St., Tanza, Navotas City or Tondo Medical Center at Honorio Lopez Blvd., Tondo, Manila.

It also said that the hospital management will still allocate operating and delivery rooms for patients with emergency cases.

The birth and operation services will resume on Feb. 28, Acoba said,
