Wantusawa restaurant responds to food poisoning issue

The oyster bar reassures the public of its commitment to safe and healthy cuisine

In a statement released on social media yesterday, Jan. 25, Wantusawa Oyster Bar addressed accusations of several diners who got food poisoning after eating in their establishment.

The oyster bar disclosed that laboratory tests on samples from the days they received complaints contained "a negative result from bacteria and thus clearing the possibility of any food poisoning.”

Wantusawa also assured the public that “any complaints made will be taken seriously, investigated thoroughly, and dealt with fairly in a timely manner.”

The Poblacion dining fixture has been receiving negative reviews on their Facebook page in the past weeks. In a recent social media post of Coco Eje, she showed several screenshots of food poisoning claimed by patrons.

“Our dedication to customer satisfaction is at the heart of what we do,” the statement continued. “It is unfortunate that despite all our efforts, laboratory tests and health clearances, social media bullying against us has continued. In our pursuit of truth and due process, we shall likewise review our options to take any legal action against these purveyors of bullying and untruth.”
