Drug bust in Rodriguez, Rizal nets over P200K 'shabu'; 2 suspects nabbed

Two suspected drug pushers were arrested after police seized from them more than P200,000 worth of shabu in an anti-illegal drugs operation in Rodriguez, Rizal on Thursday, Jan. 26.

A report released by the office of Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) director Col. Dominic Baccay showed that the entrapment operation at South Ville 8B, Barangay San Isidro, Rodriguez on Thursday morning led to the confiscation of 35 grams of shabu with a street value of P238,000.

Baccay said suspects Joel Tamang, 49, and Jennifer Antolin, 42, both residents of Rodriguez were apprehended by the operatives of PPO’s Provincial Intelligence Unit.

Police also recovered from the suspects P800 cash used as buy-bust money.

Both suspects are now detained at the Rodriguez Police Custodial Facility pending the filing of charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against them.
