Classes canceled in QC school due to bomb threat


Another school in Quezon City suspended classes after receiving a bomb threat early Thursday morning, Jan. 26.

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Cubao Station (PS 7) said that at around 4:30 a.m., teacher Marlon Trinidad, 27, saw on the Facebook page of Ponciano Bernardo High School a post by one Bob Key Ser Panganiban, saying that he planted a bomb inside the school.

He reported the post to his head and the school principal, prompting them to conduct inspection in the school in Barangay Kaunalaran in Cubao, QC and report the incident to the police at around 9:10 a.m.

The police responded to the area to investigate. The QCPD said that there area was clear of any explosive.

Earlier this week, two schools in the city were also hit by bomb threats prompting teachers and students to halt their classes.

Classes in New Era Elementary School were disrupted on Monday, Jan. 23, following a report about an explosive planted inside the school. San Francisco High School also received a bomb threat on Wednesday, Jan. 25.

Police found no bombs or any hazardous materials in the schools following thorough inspections and searches.
