Valenzuela City Mayor Weslie “Wes” Gatchalian has extended the deadline of business permit renewal for entrepreneurs in the city until Jan. 31.
“Due to public demand, marami pong nakikiusap ho pahabol pa no sa pagbabayad ng kanilang mga requirements at permits, kaya po nadesisiyunan po ng inyong lingkod kasama po ng ating Sanggunian ang pag-extend opo ng pagbabayad hanggang January 31 (Due to public demand, many people requested for more time to pay their requirements and permits, so your servant and our City Council decided to extend the payment daedline until January 31),” Gatchalian said in a Youtube video.
The original deadline for renewal of business permits and tax payment for the first quarter in the city was on Friday, Jan. 20.
On Jan. 3, the local government opened seven business one-stop-shops in different areas in the city for the business owners, along with the promotion of the Paspas Permit Online, the city’s business permit application system that allows residents to easily and safely process their transcations.
For the extension period, the mayor encouraged the city residents to use the Paspas Permit when settling their payments for convenience and to avoid long queues.
Business owners can check the city’s website (www.valenzuela.gov.ph) to create and account and access the Paspas Permit.
Gatchalian also thanked the business owners, stakeholders and micro, small, and medium enterprises who already went to different sites in the city to settle their permits.
“Ito po ay mahalaga para sa ating bayan, at nagpapasalamat po ako sa inyong mga kooperasyon sa mga nakaraang araw (This is important for our country, and I thank you for your cooperation these past few days,),” he said.
