12 senators have perfect attendance records; find out who they are
Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri and 11 other senators posted perfect attendance records from July 25, 2022 to Dec. 14, 2022, or the first six months of the 19th Congress.
Recorded as present for the first 39 times that the roll was called, Zubiri maintains his record of perfect attendance since his days in the House of Representatives.
The other 11 senators who sported a spotless attendance for period were Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda, Majority Leader Joel Villanueva, Minority Leader Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, Deputy Majority Leader Joseph Victor ‘’JV’’ Ejercito and Senators Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, Jose ‘’Jinggoy’’ Estrada, Sherwin Gatchalian, Christopher “Bong” Go, Risa Hontiveros, Robinhood Padilla, and Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.
Other senators recorded some days away on official missions, but had no other absences.
They were Senators Juan Edgardo ‘’Sonny’’ Angara (two days on official mission), Pia Cayetano (one), Manuel ‘’Lito’’ Lapid (two), Grace Poe (one), and Francis “Tol” Tolentino (four).
Senator Raffy Tulfo recorded one absence while Senator Cynthia Villar recorded two.
Senators Nancy Binay had five absences; Alan Peter Cayetano had six; Francis “Chiz” Escudero had seven, two of which were on official mission; Imee Marcos had four, three of which were on official mission; and Mark Villar had seven, of which six were on official mission.
The Senate will resume session on Monday, Jan. 23.
