OPM artists come together for ailing Parokya Ni Edgar guitarist

Chito Miranda, singer of the group Parokya Ni Edgar, took to social media to name several acts eager to help their guitarist Gab Chee Kee, who is currently undergoing treatment in an undisclosed hospital after being diagnosed with Lymphoma.

According to Chito, they all decided to organize performances to help raise funds for Gab.

"Most of which won't even be announced as fundraisers," he said. "Tahimik lang sila na tutulong."

Chito shared that among those joining the effort are Ebe Dancel, Kamikazee, Gloc9, Shanti Dope, Flow G, Gracenote, December Avenue, POT, Razorback, Moonstar 88, and Ben&Ben, among others.

Meanwhile, Parokya Ni Edgar drummer Dindin Moreno updated fans on Gab's condition.

"He's already at the middle of his treatment, but is now confined at a hospital because of pneumonia," he said. "He has been intubated at the ICU for over a week already."

Urbandub's Gabby Alipe is urging his followers to join the cause.

He wrote on Facebook: "Someone I’ve looked up to through the years as a musician, eventually, I was blessed enough to call him a friend. I have the privilege to know him being a kind-hearted, generous and genuine person. Definitely a rare one."

"Hoping we can all help out our friend and a person who has given us so much of himself through the years, in his music, his performances and for being a great human being. Praying for your fast and full recovery igsuon @gabnomods!"
