After asking for a time off from her Palace post last month, Zenaida Angping was nominated by President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. as Ambassador to France.
According to a document published online by the Commission on Appointments (CA) as of Jan. 18, Angping, who served as the Presidential Management Staff (PMS) Secretary, was listed as among the new appointees of Marcos.
She was nominated to be the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the French Republic.
The document showed Angping was appointed on Jan. 13 and the CA received the nomination on Jan. 17.
As of Jan. 20, a week after the appointment was made, Malacañang has yet to disclose Angping's nomination even though it has been announcing a series of new Marcos appointees since early this week.
Angping asked to take “some personal time for herself and her family" in December 2022, which Marcos agreed on.
No confirmation was made whether Angping only took a leave of absence or reigned from her post.
