A man initially arrested for robbing a woman of her mobile phone was found carrying P17,000 worth of shabu in Taguig City on Jan. 16.
According to the police, the robbery hold-up happened along C5 Service Road near Heritage Park in Barangay Pinagsama, Taguig at 9:25 p.m.

The unidentified victim sought assistance from the Taguig Police Substation 3 after she was held up by a man later identified as Nassar Sappal, 26.
She said Sappal pointed a knife at her, declared a hold-up and took her cell phone. Police who were patrolling at Waterfun Pinagsama saw the suspect and arrested him.
Recovered from him was a cell phone worth around P15,000.
During body search, Sappal yielded a kitchen knife and a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 2.5 grams valued at P17,000.
The suspect will charged with robbery and for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Batas Pambansa 6 (illegal possession of bladed weapon).
“I congratulate the Taguig City Police for their swift action that resulted in the arrest of the suspect,” said Southern Police District chief Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft.
