Poised to etch their names to the annals of MLBB history after moving one series away from a historic back-to-back M-series World Championships, the then-defending champions got a thorough beating at the hands of the same team they repeatedly beat in their previous matches.

“Ngayon palang nagsi-sink in yung mga nangyari at itong pakiramdam na ‘to, sobrang pamilyar sakin. Yung feeling na gusto mong umiyak pero wala nang luha na lumalabas,” said OhmyV33nus as her Blacklist International went down with 4-0 loss to ECHO in the M4 World Championship Grand Finals.

“Siguro nga dahil maraming beses na din kaming napunta sa ganitong point, at sa sobrang daming beses, parang manhid na ako,” she added.

Blacklist International, after a roller-coaster group stage, managed to breeze through the competitions and complete a return trip to the finals – the first champion team in MLBB Esports history to put itself in a position to defend its title.

The team though didn’t look like the same crew that sent the eventual champion ECHO to the lower bracket during the upper bracket finals, seemingly is disarray with its draft and a step behind with its rotations.

Despite the loss, OhmyV33nus expressed his gratitude to the fans and their supporters as she vowed to bounce back stronger from the disappointing loss.

“I still feel blessed dahil sa sobrang daming taong sumuporta sa amin, hindi lang sa Pilipinas, pati na din sa buong mundo, lalo yung mga nagpunta dito sa Indonesia at talagang nakipag-beklaban ng malala sa fans ng ibang team. Super thankful ako sa lahat ng mga taong hindi tumigil at patuloy pa rin na nagtitiwala sa mga kakayahan namin,” said OhMyV33NUS.

“Grace under defeat. With this, I will make sure that we will come back stronger than ever. And again, this is still not the last of us.”
