A powerhouse lineup of Kapuso stars will be the initial guests of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" on its first week of airing on the 4:05-4:25 pm time slot of the GMA Network.
Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, who is presently on hiatus, will be the first guest when the show premieres on Monday, Jan. 23 on GMA and its streaming platforms, including Facebook and Youtube.
Comebacking King of Talk Boy Abunda revealed in a media conference that Marian will be his first guest on Monday.
"I would like to thank Marian for her trust in me. She is on temporary hiatus but she was so nice to give in to my request," he said.
On Tuesday, Jan. 24, Tito Boy will have a sit-down interview with Glaiza De Castro and her Irish husband, David Rainey.
Multimedia Star Alden Richards will be on the hot seat on Wednesday, Jan. 25, followed by Bea Alonzo on Thursday, Jan. 26. Last guest for the launch week will be award-winning drama actor Paolo Contis who will be featured on Friday, Jan. 27.
"You know me. I call people, I plead to them, if necessary. I am not going to depend on my staff or my bosses. I want this show to work and I want the biggest names and the biggest stories to be there on my first week," Boy pointed out.
"Sobrang taas ng energy ko at pakialamero ako. Hindi ako papayag na hindi mag-deliver dahil sobrang tiwala ang ibingay sa akin ni Atty. Gozon (GMA CEO). Hindi ako maghihintay ng grasya. Am gonna work!," he added.
(My energy level is up to the roof and I even meddle with how it will go about. I can't afford not to deliver because of the immense trust given me by GMA CEO Atty. Gozon. I am not going to wait for blessings. Am gonna work!)
"Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" will feature the latest showbiz updates and the highlight will be the interview with the featured celebrity of the day. The host said he is thankful that he will be working with staff who was with him in his previous programs, like Show & Tell and Startalk.
The stars he will interview will be Kapuso artists and his personal friends. Boy added that, "I don't think I can promise you I would be able to do stories and interviews with people who belong to a different channel, and am not just talking about one channel. Mahirap 'yun. Let's be honest about it. This is the rule of the competition."
The King of Talk further revealed that he is prohibited by his contract from featuring politicians.
Earlier, Tito Boy disclosed that his dream interviewee is Heart Evangelista who is married to prominent senator from Bicol, Chiz Escudero. The King of Talk still has to find success in getting an interview with Heart.
"Heart, if you're watching me, you have to come to the show," Boy said at his Jan. 14 mediacon in the GMA headquarters. " I'd love to do Fast Talk with Chiz, too. In this instance, do we consider Chiz as a politician, or as a partner of a celebrity? I would defer to my bosses on that because my contract does not allow me to do politics."
''Fast Talk" is not only Boy's show on the Kapuso network. He revealed that on Feb. 5, his blocktime show dispensing legal advice with Senators Pia and Alan Peter Cayetano will be launched. It will be called 'Compañero In Action' with Boy Abunda.
"Then after three to six months, I would like to negotiate for my dream show which I would like to co-produce. I would like to call this show Tell Me Your Story and will feature longer interviews with celebrities. I discussed this with GMA management already but they said let's put Fast Talk into place first," Boy said.
