Woman arrested after accepting parcel with P1.3M worth of shabu in Cavite


Government anti-narcotics operatives arrested a woman after accepting some P1.4 million worth of shabu in a controlled delivery operation in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) noted that Georgette Elio, 24, a marketing officer was arrested after receiving the parcel which contained 200 grams of shabu, along Indiana Street corner Miami Street, North 1, San Marino City Subdivision at around 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13.

Authorities said the parcel with airway bill No. 97 9622 8050 was declared as ‘Deep Tissue Massager’ that was shipped by Thea Kruger of 209 Grosvoner Road, 0083 Hatfield, South Africa and was consigned to Elo.

The package also contained one massager with four carbon papers and four improvised pouches made of tape where shabu was concealed, one blue clipboard, one parcel receipt, one copy of invoice, one Philippine passport and one cellular phone. (Chito A. Chavez)
