Former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno debuted on Friday as a vlogger after he launched the first episode of his online show entitled "Iskovery Night."
Yorme's vlog, which will be shown every Friday at 11 p.m., signaled his return to his first love which is entertainment following his stint in politics.
During the introduction of his program, Isko toured the viewers of his vlog at the Scott Media Productions in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, where his vlog will be shot. There are also rooms for podcast, editing, and workplace (open concept) in the office. The same studio will also serve as the office of his children.
For his pilot show, Yorme welcomed and interviewed Kapamilya star Coco Martin, who will soon be seen in the upcoming Kapamilya teleserye "Batang Quiapo."
"Sobrang pagod ngayon dahil kakatapos pa lamang namin gawin ni Jodi Sta. Maria yung 'Labyu With An Accent.' Nag-shooting pa kami sa America," Coco told Isko, when asked what kept him busy during the last few months of 2022. (Very tired because Jodi Sta. Maria and I just finished doing 'Labyu With An Accent.' We shot in America.)
Coco revealed that he's not used to long breaks at work and wants to get busy all the time.
(I'm not used to long breaks at work because I want to use the time wisely. I remember the days when I was just starting. I struggled when I was still an extra. Then we asked permission from ABS-CBN if we could visit our kababayan in the US to thank them for supporting 'Ang Probinsyano' because when all this is over and I'm older I can say to myself that I didn't waste any time.)
Isko told Coco: "The lesson is pagbinigyan ka ng pagkakataon, pahalagahan mo." (The lesson is when you are given a chance, appreciate it.)
Asked about his biggest struggle in life, Coco said: "Hindi ako natutong mag-Ingles. 'Yun ang pinakamalaking struggle ko." (I didn't learn to speak English. That was my biggest struggle.)
May dahilan." (Coco, you are not alone. There are two of us. My grade in English is 75. In life you really have many questions. Why don't I have this or something like that, but that's exactly what's given to you. There's a reason.)
Coco recalled that he and Isko first appeared together in the series "Ligaw Na Bulaklak" on ABS-CBN.
Isko realized that he and Coco have similarities when it comes to their beginnings in show business and dreams of working abroad. Both celebrities came from poor families and appeared in sexy movies at some point of their showbiz career.
Coco also said that he would spend time in sari-sari stores and billiards when he was younger.
Like Isko, the "Ang Probinsyano" star also recalled how he wanted to become a seaman. "Pag naging seaman ka makakapag-abroad ka kasi. Gusto kong maging cook sa barko kasi yung lola ko magaling magluto." (When you become a seaman you can go abroad. I want to be a cook on a ship because my grandmother is a good cook.)
Coco also said he is devotee of the Black Nazarene at Quiapo Church in Manila where he prayed to have a job. "Lagi kong dinadasal na bigyan ako ng trabaho kahit hindi na ako matulog." (I always pray to be given a job even if I don't sleep anymore.)
