MB Daily News Update: PBBM wants issuance of digital PH IDs expedited


President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ordered the fast-tracking of the issuance of digital national IDs that would considerably contribute to an increase in the economy because of the projected increased use of financial services, improved access to employment, increased productivity from time saved, reduced costs for government and institutions, higher tax participation leading to higher collections, and increased access and participation from rural farmers.

More than 137,000 pensioners coming from the military are set to receive their pensions after the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) released P14 billion to cover these requirements for the first quarter of 2023.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is eyeing to privatize the operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in a bid to increase its capacity to handle more flights.

Rainy weather is likely to prevail in the country until Monday, according to the state weather agency.
