Regine Diego to coach F2 Logistics Cargo Movers


For the first time in Premier Volleyball League history, a female head coach will call the shots for one of its member teams.

This after F2 Logistics announced Thursday, Jan. 12, that it has tapped the services Regine Diego to mentor the Cargo Movers for the upcoming season.

“We welcome Coach Regine Diego to our team called family,” the post read.

A former libero for the De La Salle Lady Spikers, Diego transitioned to coaching after her collegiate year by becoming part of the National University Women’s and Girls’ volleyball programs.

She actually mentored the Lady Bulldogs that won the UAAP Season 82 title.

Diego will take the reins of Benson Bocboc, who has been acting as interim coach last season.

Prior to the announcement of Diego’s appointment, the team also disclosed six of its players bid farewell namely Tin Tiamzon, Lourdes Clemente, Alex Cabanos, Chloe Cortez, Dzi Gervacio and Rem Cailing.

Last season, the Cargo Movers finished sixth in the Open Conference and fifth in the Reinforced Conference.
