Krizziah Tabora-Macatula finished inside the Top 10 to lead Filipino bowlers in the 26th Asian Tenpin Bowling Championships in Hong Kong recently.

Tabora-Macatula, a silver medalist in the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, finished at ninth place in the women’s singles event with 1401 pinfalls behind eventual winner and reigning Southeast Asian Games champion Cherie Tan of Singapore, who finished the 50-player field with 1525.
Malaysia’s Natasha Roslan and South Korea’s Hwang Yeonju came in second and third with 1476 and 1459, respectively.
Lara Posadas-Wong, meanwhile, came through with a 16th place finish with 1350 pinfalls, while other Filipino finishers were Rachelle Leon at 18th with 1332, Grace Gella at 28th with 1260, Mades Arles at 33rd with 1226, and Danielle Lazo at 40th with 1163.
Tabora-Macatula and Posadas-Wong, then, teamed up in the women’s doubles but finished 10th with a combined 2683 pinfalls.
South Korea’s Baek Seungja and Jung Dawun ruled the event with 2903.
In the men’s side, Ian Dychangco settled for 25th place in a field of 95 athletes with 1438 pinfalls.
Ivan Malig placed at 40th with 1399, Danielle Evangelista finished 43rd with 1387, Emer Gotencio landed at 52nd with 1353, and Patrick Nuqui and Jordan Dinham settled for 75th and 83rd with 1248 and 1185, respectively.
Nuqui and Dinham, meanwhile, came in eighth in the men’s doubles with 2867 behind eventual winner Timothy Tham and Mudh Jaris Goh of Singapore (2991).
