Shopee recently partnered with the Philippine Coast Guard Station Sorsogon last December to deliver aid to fishing communities in Sorsogon.
Shopee provided Noche Buena food packages to over 400 families from coastal communities in Sorsogon. Shopee volunteers and Coast Guard Sorsogon representatives worked together in distributing the donations, and providing hot meals for the families.
Coast Guard Station Sorsogon Commander Christian Jazmin said, “On behalf of the Philippine Coast Guard Station Sorsogon, we would like to thank Shopee Philippines for supporting us in aiding the fishing communities in Sorsogon. They have been instrumental not only in forwarding e-commerce in the country, but also in helping communities in need.”

This initiative is part of Shopee Bayanihan, Shopee's umbrella CSR arm that seeks to contribute in the development of communities in need through collaboration with various stakeholders.
