Fees in city, municipal courts can now be settled thru GCash, GrabPay -- SC

The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday, Jan. 11, announced that it has added GCash and GrabPay as additional channels for its Judiciary ePayment System (JePS) for payment of court fees online.
In a press statement, the SC’s public information office (PIO) said the inclusion of GCash and GrabPay was in partnership with the Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank).
The PIO said the JePS “is a platform that allows the assessment and payment of legal fees and other collections of the Judiciary in a more convenient and accessible manner by providing litigants, their counsels/representatives, and persons requesting for clearances, certifications, and other services from the courts the option to pay online through major banks and digital wallets.”
It said the JePS is aimed at streamlining the processes of assessment and payment of court fees, increasing accessibility of the public to judicial services, enhancing transparency and accountability, and providing the SC with efficient accounting and auditing mechanisms.
The JePS is currently deployed in all first-level courts – municipal and city courts -- and being piloted in 44 second-level courts – regional trial courts.
The PIO said that court litigants may access the JePS platform at https://epayment.judiciary.gov.ph/. It said that users should click the ‘Go to Assessment Calculator’ button and fill in the necessary details.
After filling in the details, users will be redirected to the Payment Options page where they will be able to choose their preferred payment channel which includes UnionBank online, FortunePay, GCash, GrabPay, InstaPay, and PesoNet, it said.
It added that an electronic official receipt will immediately be generated after payment which may be downloaded and printed out by the users.
“For concerns or information regarding the JePS, please
email [email protected],” the PIO added.
