"Before the end of the meeting, the President wanted all the department heads to remember to know what each other’s doing and to maximize the synergy in order to work together to achieve the 8-point socio economic agenda," Paez said.
During the cabinet meeting, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla and Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte presented their respective plans under their department's this year.
Remulla was ordered to continue releasing persons deprived of liberty to decongest jails in the country.
Duterte, on the other hand, told the President that would be presenting a revised K to 12 curriculum for basic education on Jan. 30.
The President also emphasized that DSWD must always be on heightened alert over disasters that might hit the country.
"t should be noted that the President had asked the DSWD to always remain ready and on heightened alert as it seems that the rains, the season are not letting up. So we must remain vigilant," Paez said.
