MB Daily News Update: No untoward incident as students return to classes -- DepEd
No untoward incident was monitored by the Department of Education (DepEd) as students returned to school after a long holiday break.
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. embarked on a day of meeting with Chinese officials in his State Visit in Beijing which will culminate with a dinner with China President Xi Jinping. Filipinos based in the Chinese capital may have been disappointed that Marcos would not be able to meet with them, but understood that stringent measures due to the Covid-19 surge prevented him from doing so.
Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. called on top officials of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to submit their respective courtesy resignations in a bid to contain the illegal drug menace in the country.
Meanwhile, a low-pressure area (LPA) will be bringing rains and thunder storms in areas of Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao, according to the state weather agency.
