The Parañaque city government announced on Tuesday, Jan. 3, that the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) will be accepting online application, assessment, and payment of business permit renewal.
According to BPLO chief, lawyer Melanie Soriano-Malaya, online transaction was made to avoid the risk of Covid-19 and the implementation of the number coding scheme.
Malaya said those who wish to transact with the BPLO may visit https://app.bploparanaque.com/bpls or scan the QR code to determine the dates of their renewal depending on the business identification number (BIN) ending.
She said the online transaction is also applicable to new businesses.
The BPLO chief also announced that they will be adopting a working schedule from Jan. 3 to Feb 26 except for the declared special (non-working) holidays on Feb. 13 in celebration of the Parañaque City Day, and Feb. 25 for the EDSA Revolution Anniversary.
Malaya said the BPLO will serve transacting tax payers Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
She advised business owners who will opt for onsite renewal that they can book for an appointment at app.bploparanaque.com/appointment and only those with confirmed schedule appointment will be allowed to transact in the BPLO lounge.
The BPLO chief added they will also allow limited walk-in slots on a first come, first served basis depending on the capacity of the lounge.
Malaya said applicants renewing more than 10 permits at a time shall only be allowed via dropbox.
