Three people were hurt in a fire that burned around 390 houses along Don Manuel Street in Brgy. Balingasa, Quezon City on Thursday morning, Sept. 8.
The Quezon City Fire District (QCFD) identified the victims as John Roberto Castillo, 20, who sustained an abrasion on his right thumb; Melbert Beltran, 35, and Charlie Gerais, 30, a fire volunteer, who both experienced difficulty in breathing.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire was raised to first alarm at around 10:04 a.m. It went up to second alarm at about 10:43 a.m. and third alarm at around 11:13 a.m.
It was declared under control at around 2:03 p.m. and was extinguished at around 2:56 p.m.
Arson investigators placed at P2,925,000 the estimated cost of property damage. Around 780 families were affected.
Probers said that the incident was possibly caused by a faulty electrical wiring in the bedroom on the second floor of a house.
