Commercial sex worker found dead in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – A commercial sex worker was found dead in Purok Progreso, Barangay Alijis, here Thursday, Sept. 8.

Police withheld the name of the 26-year-old victim.

Capt. Elmer Bonilla, head of Police Station 7, said the victim was found by roving guards around 5:30 a.m.

Bonilla said the victim may have been hit by a hard object in the head and was left in the area. She also had scratches on her neck, Bonilla added.

He said the victim was last seen alive on Wednesday, Sept. 7, before she was reportedly picked up by a white car from Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Barangay Singcang-Airport here around 10:30 p.m., based on the statement of her live-in partner.

Police have no motive behind the killing yet.
