MMDA enforcer, motorcycle rider hurt in 2 QC road mishaps


A Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) female traffic enforcer and a motorcycle rider were injured in two separate road incidents in Quezon City on Wednesday morning, Sept. 7,

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Traffic Enforcement Unit (DTEU) identified the injured motorcycle rider as John Exequiel Buluran, 25, from Sampaloc, Manila.

The DTEU said that Buluran was driving his Honda wave motorcycle along East Avenue in the city at around 5:45 a.m.

Upon reaching the corner of East and V. Luna Avenues, the driver’s vehicle suddenly turned to its side.

Buluran sustained face and body injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, in a DZBB Super Radyo report, a female MMDA traffic enforcer was hit by a bus along the northbound lane of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) in the city also on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

In the report, the victim, Leslie Vergara, said she approached the bus driver as the vehicle he was driving was blocking a part of the northbound lane and was causing heavy traffic.

She added that the driver then drove the bus when she asked for his driver’s license. The victim was dragged by the bus.

The victim sustained an injury on her left leg and was given immediate medical attention.
