CEBU CITY -- Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
This seemed to be the case of a 27-year-old woman who went wild inside a videoke establishment in Barangay Bulacao here on Monday night, Sept. 5.
Ederliza Pelamin, who, police said, was left by her live-in partner, turned her frustration inside a videoke bar where she allegedly destroyed some valuables inside.
As a result, the police had to arrest her, as well as her 24-year old sister Princess Faye, Renz Alec Rodriguez, 25, and Kisha Ann-Ambos.
Police Senior M/Sgt. Geoffrey Gutual, investigator of the Inayawan Police Station, said Pelamin and her companions were already drunk when they arrived at the videoke joint.
Ederliza and her companions booked a room where they had drinks.
A few minutes later, an attendant noticed Ederliza becoming rowdy and was seen going in and out of the videoke booth.
The attendant went on to call the police when they noticed a commotion in the videoke room.
When police arrived, the TV inside the room was already destroyed while the cover of the air-conditioning unit was ripped off.
The upholstery of the seats was also damaged, police said.
Police investigation showed that Ederliza went wild in frustration after she was left by her live-in partner.
Ederliza could not accept the break-up and was forced to return to Cebu from Bohol as she was allegedly not treated well by her live-in partner’s relatives.
Police ended up arresting not just Ederliza but also her companions after the management of the videoke bar lodged a complaint against the group.
Ederliza and her group spent the night at the police detention cell but were released after reaching an amicable settlement with the management.
Police said the woman’s group agreed to pay the damages they caused in the videoke bar.
