The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) commended the Muntinlupa City K-9 Search and Rescue team for helping in the search, rescue and retrieval of victims of the Abra earthquake that occurred in July.
MMDA acting Chairman Carlo Dimayuga III awarded certificates of commendation to volunteers Glicerio Zamora IV, Philip Jason Miranda, and Timothy Rambayon.



They were recognized by the MMDA “for rendering search, rescue, and retrieval of the victims who were buried during the landslide that occurred at the wake of the 7.3 earthquake in Luba, Abra on July 27-29,2022.”
“The team composed of six (6) personnel were able to find the remains of four (4) missing persons with the help of MMDA K-9 team. Their unselfish effort in the service of others, in times of need and disaster, is an act of heroism and worthy of emulation of a good public servant,” according to the certificate of commendation given by the MMDA.
The Muntinlupa City K-9 Search and Rescue volunteers together with their dogs paid a courtesy call on Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon on Sept. 5.
The K-9 team is composed of individuals and dogs. It was established in 2019 through the MMDA K-9 Corps and the Muntinlupa Office of the City Veterinarian.
