362 BFP personnel promoted

A total of 362 personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) have been promoted to the next rank.

BFP Director Louie Puracan said those promoted include 69 Superintendents (equivalent to Colonel in the military), 76 Chief Inspectors (Major), 80 Senior Inspectors (Captains) and 70 Inspectors (Lieutenants).

The other promoted BFP personnel are 30 Fire Officers i (FO1s); 31 Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUPs) and six lateral entry personnel.

During the BFP’s flag-raising ceremony, Puracan told the newly-promoted fire officers the importance of competency, honesty, integrity and attitude in the performance of their sworn duties pointing to their mandate ‘to serve and protect lives and properties.’
