2 drug pushers fall, P306,000 shabu seized in Quezon buy-bust

CAMP NAKAR, Lucena City – Two suspected drug pushers were arrested and shabu valued at P306,000 was seized in a buy-bust operation in Lopez, Quezon, on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Police identified the suspects as Sherwin Buela, 37, and Rowell Montesa, 34, residents of Atimonan, Quezon.

The Quezon Police Provincial Office said suspects were arrested after they sold shabu to a poseur-buyer.

Police recovered 15 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P306,000, marked money, and confiscated an Isuzu trailer truck used by the suspects.

Suspects who were both in the police drugs watchlist are facing charges for violation of Section 5, Article 2, of Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

They are detained at the Lopez Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and medical examination.
