The Pasig City local government donated P3 million as financial assistance to the provincial government of Abra to aid in their on-going relief efforts of the devastation left by the magnitude-7 earthquake last July.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto announced the "successful delivery" of the donation on his social media pages on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 4.
The donation will serve to help cover the province's financial expenses for "rehabilitation work and other needs," he said.
Sotto added the donation came from the Special Trust Fund of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM).
Last July 27, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake shook the northern regions of Luzon at 8:43 a.m.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the earthquake "originated 3 kilometers northwest of Tayum, Abra."
The National DRRM Council reported 228,238 individuals or 62,024 families were affected by the quake in 639 barangays from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Ilocos (Region 1), and Cagayan Valley (Region 2), as of July 30.
Around 1,910 families or 6,176 individuals were evacuated, while 6,490 families or 27,207 individuals left their homes stayed with relatives or friends.
As per the Abra Provincial DRRM Council's data, some 51 government infrastructure, and around 1,214 residential buildings were damaged in Abra alone.
The earthquake also triggered landslides, leading to the closure of 12 main roads in the various towns in the province.
