BAGGAO, Cagayan – The police and military recovered an arms cache belonging to the New People’s Army in Barangay San Miguel here Tuesday, Aug. 30.
Unearthed by the local police and 77th Infantry Battalion were four rifle grenades, six revolvers, one homemade caliber .22, one homemade shotgun barrel, one homemade barrel for caliber .45, nine 5.56mm ammunition, six 5.56mm-linked ammunition, six 7.62mm ammunition, seven 9mm ammunition, one magnum caliber .22 ammunition, seven magnum caliber .38 ammunition, one caliber .38 ammunition, four ammunition shells, subversive documents, and an olive green T-shirt.
Meanwhile, 25 former members of the New People’s Army and Anakpawis have started their animal production training as part of their livelihood assistance under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-Clip) initiated by the 77th Infantry Battalion here.

The Army coordinated with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and the local government unit of Baggao for the conduct of 38-day training from Aug. 30 to Oct. 7.
The recipients will have knowledge and skills on raising and maintaining poultry housing, brood and grow chicks, perform pre-lay and lay activities, and trim beak.
The beneficiaries will be awarded a National Certificate (NC) II after their training.
